Background
Having been born and brought up in the Fort William and Lochaber area, I have an inbuilt love for all things outdoors. As a leisure climber in teenage years, I have a base understanding although did not continue with this discipline. I have an appreciation of slow, mini and micro adventures and get out walking and biking whenever I can.
In working life I have been involved in training and development for several years changing direction in 2010 to start work within West Highland College UHI. I currently work on a part time basis with the School of Adventure Studies supporting the team with a range of duties but primarily with the Practical side of the department linking with NGB short courses and administration of the Practical Programme.

What is your main outdoor interest?
For the past 12 years I have been involved with / chaired the committee that delivers the Fort William Mountain Festival
Many of our students volunteer for this annual event held in the Outdoor Capital of the UK. Students volunteer both on the committee throughout the year as well as throughout the 5 days of the festival weekend.
