Eilidh Macphail

Associate Professor of Sustainable Rural and Island Development at UHI North West and Hebrides

Eilidh is a lecturer at UHI, leading the Sustainability and Rural Regeneration MSc Programme. She’s especially interested in Scottish and EU policy, rural and island communities, and how to better support student wellbeing in online learning. Eilidh enjoys helping students explore how policy affects everyday life in rural areas and is passionate about creating inclusive, community-focused learning experiences. As a Senior Fellow of the HEA, she’s committed to positive change in education and rural development.
