Background
I teach Practical Sewing Skills and Fashion Illustration at UHI North, West and Hebrides. Before I began teaching, I developed the HNC and HND Fashion modules, which has now enabled me to teach the Fashion courses part time. I ran my own business as a bridal and occasion wear designer for 23 years; this evolved my interests in costume and textiles. I make historical stays and corsets for exhibitions and for social media historical costume pages under the name @Circa.1923.
I also have an interest in art and painting, where I take commissions and paint tractors for customers under @tractor-art-hebrides. I have two tractors which I work on and restore.
