Thinking of leaving your studies?
If you are struggling with your studies or thinking about leaving your course, please speak to someone. Support is available and we would encourage you to reach out before making any decisions.
You may be finding coursework difficult, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing financial or personal challenges, or worried after an assessment result. You are not alone, and many students experience difficulties during their studies. Our Student Support team is here to listen, talk through your options, and help you access the support that is available to you.
Where to start
A good first step is to speak to your lecturer, Personal Academic Tutor, Programme Leader, or Student Support. They can listen to your concerns, help you understand your options, and direct you to the right support services.
Depending on your circumstances, there may be options available such as extensions, mitigating circumstances, additional support, or taking a temporary break from your studies instead of withdrawing completely.
Sources of support:
- Contact the Student Support team to discuss any learning support you may require
- Contact the Wellbeing team if you are struggling with your mental health, wellbeing, stress, anxiety, or personal circumstances affecting your studies
