Term Dates and Holidays

Academic holidays

October

• Further Education - students studying courses up to and including SCQF Level 6
  Two weeks holiday from Monday 14th October to Friday 25th October (inclusive).
• Higher Education - students studying courses at SCQF Level 7 and above
  One week holiday from Monday 14th October to Friday 18th October (inclusive)

During this period all Academic staff will have 5 days holiday which will be taken so as not to impact your learning.

Easter

• Academic staff and students will be on holiday from Friday 7th April 2025 to Monday 21st April 2025.

Summer

• Academic staff and students will be on holiday from Monday 30th June 2025.

Please be aware that during holiday periods Academic Staff are not expected to monitor their email. Should you have any concerns about an urgent query during this time please contact our reception team on 01847 889000.

Further Education Courses

• Semester 1 begins week commencing 26th August 2024 (this includes induction)
• Semester 1 ends during week commencing 13th January 2025
• Semester 2 begins week commencing 20th January 2025
• Semester 2 ends during week commencing 26th May 2025

Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Courses

• Induction will be during week commencing 26th August 2024
• Semester 1 will start during week commencing 2nd September 2024
• Semester 1 will end during week commencing 25th November 2024
• Semester 1 exams will be during week commencing 2nd December 2024
• Semester 2 will start during week commencing 27th January 2025
• Semester 2 will end during week commencing 21st April 2025
• Semester 2 exams will be during weeks commencing 28th April and 5th May 2025
