UHI North, West and Hebrides Hosts Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Networking Events in Stornoway and Benbecula

Empowering Local Collaboration and Innovation Across the Outer Hebrides UHI North, West and Hebrides is excited to announce two upcoming Knowledge Exchange and Innovation Networking Events aimed at fostering collaboration between academia, industry, and community organizations in the Outer Hebrides.

These events will provide local businesses, public sector bodies, and third-sector organizations with the opportunity to engage directly with UHI's academic experts, explore funding avenues, and discover resources to drive innovation and development in the region.

The events is in collaboration with the UHI Knowledge Exchange and Islands Centre for Net Zero (INCZ) which is supported by the Islands Deal and Scottish Government funding. The INCZ is a pan-island distributed innovation centre that will support Orkney, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides to become lighthouse communities in the energy transition. The sessions will be coordinated by Joan D’Arcy the ICNZ Research and Development Co-ordinator for UHI North West and Hebrides.

Joan said, “This is a fantastic opportunity for organisations based in the Outer Hebrides to explore the benefits of engaging with academic research. Knowledge Exchange can empower businesses to take on innovation projects by offering them access to resources and expertise that might otherwise be inaccessible or difficult to leverage. If your organization is looking for support to develop a new idea or concept, unlock innovation, and forge exciting collaborations, then come to the Outer Hebrides Knowledge Exchange Networking event this June!”
