- Three Credit Standard Grades or three National 5 qualifications including Maths, English and a technical subject
- SQA Skills for Work Engineering would also be an advantage

This course is designed to give learners the foundation training in instrumentation/control engineering installation and maintenance along with the knowledge and understanding of how electrical, instrumentation and controls engineering integrates into an engineering system. You will learn:
- Practical skills in electrical installation
- Inspection and testing
- Control and instrumentation maintenance
- Fault finding on a variety of engineering equipment
- You will also develop your core, employability, enterprise and citizenship skills.
