What is special about this course?

Gamekeeping offers a challenging and rewarding way of life, and the focal point of this course lies in the practical 'hands-on' training students receive. Our approach to delivering this course effectively readies our students for advancing either into full-time jobs or pursuing higher education within the realm of land-based industries. Within the curriculum, students will strive to attain the Deer Management Qualification Level 1, a widely accepted benchmark in the field of wild deer management

Entry requirements

Applicants should be at least 16 years of age, with a reasonably high standard of physical fitness. Motivation and an understanding of working in the rural sector is beneficial to all applicants.

After successfully completing the NC Gamekeeping course, many of our students progress on to the HNC Wildlife and Conservation Management where they further enhance their knowledge and experience working within the sector. The progression rate of our students into full-time employment is very high, with many securing full-time employment in sporting estates and wildlife management areas.
