What is special about this course?

Explore the hidden world within the world you know. This six-week online course delves into the rich relationship between the supernatural and the physical landscape, examining how beliefs in fairies, ghosts, witches and other Otherworldly beings are rooted in - and shaped by - the places around us. You'll explore key concepts such as liminality, thin places, and stone tape theory, developing a deeper understanding of how the unseen and seen intersect.

Students can also study a range of Gaelic courses from access to degree, including  Supernatural Folklore of the Gaidhealtachd, or modules in Gaelic Story and Song, Folklore and Traditional Culture (available in either Gaelic or English). Find out more.
