Position: We are seeking a Gaelic Officer to be Islands based.

Responsibilities: The post holders will be responsible for delivery of the college’s legally binding commitments set out within our Gaelic Language Plan (GLP). This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the preservation and promotion of Gaelic language and culture within a tertiary education context, including developing and maintaining links to the wider Gaelic Language Plan for UHI.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidates will have a Degree, SCQF Level 9 or above, or equivalent, in a relevant discipline (including education, business, community or organisational development contexts). With a Minimum of three years’ work experience in a relevant role, with responsibility for development and delivery of relevant programmes or services.

This post requires the successful applicant to be a fluent Gaelic speaker.
