Position: We are seeking a Fashion Lecturer, to be based at our Fort William Campus.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide structured training to students using a variety of approaches to enable them to meet the standards required. Carrying out assessments to the standards set by the industry/awarding body, maintaining accurate assessment records, evaluating student performance and achievement, making recommendations and highlighting support needs as appropriate are also requirements of the role.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidate will hold an SCQF Level 7-Level 12 qualification, normally above the level being taught and in a relevant subject area to the course, a teaching qualification, preferably TQFE, PGDE or equivalent, or a Masters in Education. Along with a proven track record of effective planning to deliver engaging learning, teaching, assessment and supervision, successful candidates must be good communicators who are self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to problem solve and work independently. You should have experience of pattern drafting and garment construction, as well as strong sewing skills. Ability to use video conferencing applications and good digital skills are also essential for this role.

A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
