Position: We are seeking a Children and Young People MA/SVQ Assessor, to be based at our any of our UHI North, West & Hebrides Campuses.
Responsibilities: The post holders will be responsible for achieving the recruitment, retention and outcome targets of candidates on work-based SVQ Childcare programmes, liaising with candidates, employers and various College staff/departments to ensure an excellent candidate experience and compliance with health and safety standards, and supporting programme evaluation, enhancement and continuing personal development.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills: The suitable candidates will hold a relevant qualification in the subject area - at minimum SVQ Level 4 or equivalent (Level 9 - Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework) or have comparable knowledge and experience in the relevant industry and will ideally hold a valid workplace assessing or verifying qualification, although training can be given. You will have an understanding of SVQ assessment and experience of working in the Childcare sector.
A level of Gaelic ability would be advantageous to your application.
