Are you looking for a job or need help returning to work? Whatever your age or ability, our Employability Advisors can offer you a personal approach to developing the skills you need to find employment.

We offer tailored, individual short work-focused support to help you progress into employment or to assist you in moving on to more advanced forms of training. Following the No One Left Behind strategic policy, which is the approach to transforming employment support in Scotland, we aim to deliver a system that is more tailored and responsive to the needs of people of all ages who want help and support on their journey towards, into and in work.

1-2-1 Employability Support

Through this service, clients will develop essential skills, including CV writing, interview techniques, and effective job search strategies, ultimately enhancing their employability and confidence in the job market.

We offer personalised one-on-one support for individuals across a wide age range, from school leavers aged 16 and up, who are eager to re-enter the workforce. We assist clients in exploring various funding opportunities, such as gaining a Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) license, pursuing self-employment, and obtaining a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

We can help develop skills required such as:

  • Assertiveness/confidence building
  • Analysis of existing skills and experience
  • Completing online job application forms and emails
  • Working as part of a team
  • Creating or updating your CV and Cover Letter.
  • Job Searching Online
  • Interview skills and experience
  • Access current training and employment opportunities and much more

If you are not quite ready for employment and would like some practice in a work environment first, our advisors can also help clients by connecting with local employers, increasing their chances of finding suitable work experiences.
